Sequoyah grew up in wooded Santa Cruz, California where she nurtured her love for the natural world and all living things. Though she scribbled, etched and painted throughout her youth, her time at Rhode Island School of Design sculpted and shaped her artistic voice and style. After graduating Sequoyah sought to expand her tools of expression from the still image to the moving one.

 

She found she could communicate her zany ideas and telegraph precise emotion to an audience through the screen and so Sequoyah pursued her Master’s in the Animation and Digital Arts Program at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She now resides in Culver City and works in the animation industry.

 

Sequoyah mostly plays board games in her spare time, and drags friends and family on hikes sometimes too.
